Positive affirmation is the practice of using encouraging words to begin to change one’s mindset and/or beliefs. It is such a powerful techniques that can empower one physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. Positive affirmations can also be used to enhance ones self-esteem, self-confidence and self-image, in addition, when regularly used can help an individual reinforce the ability to transform negativity to positivity.

Nina believes that the mind is so powerful and feeds on information that it is given, be it good or bad.  No wonder Edmund Spenser says, ” it is the mind that maketh good or ill, that maketh wretch or happy, rich or poor.” It picks signals as transmitted to it and acts accordingly be it positive or negative. In context, the mind when steered to think positively, will yield positive results, and vice versa if steered to think negatively.

Even the Bible records some verses that encourage the use of positive affirmation:

  • Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 (KJV)
  • For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].  Philippians 4:8 (Amplified)
  • But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose… Luke 21:34 (Amplified)

Jim Rohn said, “Affirmation without discipline is the beginning of delusion,”  I couldn’t agree more and would add that “affirmation without works is totally dead! I have personally used and continue to use positive affirmation and it has always worked for me. I employ it daily in her daily living to push through barriers and come out victorious. Nina is a living proof that positive affirmations will certainly improve your life and believes in the Power of Positive Affirmation to Produce (P.P.A.P.)
